Can you believe the second month of the year is over?
I don't know about you, but so far 2018 has been an absolute roller-coaster of a year. There has been some huge ups, and some tremendously awful downs. If it continues like this, I'm going to be bloody exhausted come the end of the year.
I do have some amazing things to look forward to this year. Lots of adventures and new experiences. If they are matched by horrible things as well... *shudder*
Anyway, one good thing to look forward to right now is Autumn. Canberra does Autumn so beautifully. Canberra's climate is very like parts of Europe, with real seasons. That means our European plants tend to react like they do naturally and in vibrancy, rather than the muted means in other more Australian climes.
So our trees do the gammut of reds and browns and oranges as the leaves turn and then fall off the tree. It makes Canberra outstandingly beautiful. The weather also cools from the summer extremes but doesn't get bitingly cold until late April and so it's a great time to be out and about, exploring the city.
So yes, March is a brilliant time to be in our fair city and as I am taking place in the March Charge to raise money for cancer research, I will be seeing a fair bit of it.
